Voluntary Benefit Plans Meeting
|
Afscme council 13 has contracted with Biden & Caveney (Trustmark Insurance Company) to introduce four Voluntary Benefit plans to our active union members only. These plans consist of:
Universal Life Insurance:
Provides financial security for you and your family with permanent protection and a cash value component.
Short Term Disability Insurance:
Protects your most important asset, your income.
Accident insurance:
Helps pay for unexpected healthcare expenses due to accidents that occur every day, both on and off the job.
Critical Illness Insurance:
Helps pay for unexpected healthcare expenses due to covered illnesses such as heart attack, stroke, invasive cancer and more.
Trustmark Insurance Company and their staff will be meeting with our members on February 2nd and 3rd in Hearing room 5, Commonwealth Keystone building. Please notify me as soon as possible if you would like to meet with one of their staff. I will be setting up appointments for these 2 days for them. So please email me or call me to set up your appointment. They will be with us between 8 and 4:00. The last appointment scheduled will be at 3:45. So please notify me ASAP with a time that is flexible for you. This has been approved by the office of administration for this to be done. There will be staff members from Trustmark on hand to set with you individually and answer any questions you might have. I will be posting these flyers on our union bulletin boards and there will be posters dropped off Friday with weather permitting. Don’t forget this is for active union members only. If someone is fair share and would like this opportunity then I will have green cards available for them to sign up and take advantage of this offer. Please make sure to notify your supervisor as to your appointment as soon as it is scheduled. I will be speaking to each LRC to let them know of this great opportunity for all our members. Hope to hear from you soon. I will be excepting emails and phone calls between today and up to next Thursday so that I will be able to notify the company of your attendance. except in July, August, and December at the AFSCME Conference Center!
